She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

Just a quick note. We are finally getting over our visit from the stomach virus fairy. I have been playing with the drum carder, cause it's just been too hectic to knit. The 5 skeins on the left are samples for colors for the fair isle, the three on the right were just fun! That brown is from some mystery wool that I picked up somewhere, I carded it before I switched to the slow speed on the carder, and it needs to be washed again before I try to card the rest of it. The color is off too, but I can't seem to get the tones fixed, so this will have to do for now. Hopefully I will have more to write about later, when I feel better.  Posted by Picasa

Jan hope you and the kids are feeling better soon! JK and I have been ill this week as well. Your colors are beautiful. I guess your carder isn't for DYI greeting cards huh? Just when I think I have a clue to what you do - you switch it up =^)
