She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

I have been working on a project, and decided I needed a contrasting yarn. I still had two balls of the yarn from my felted slippers lying around, so I decided to ply them together to make a thicker yarn that could be used in the project I am working on. This is how that turned out. The yarn is very slightly over plyed, but it looks really interesting. I should have set the twist, but I need to get the project done, so I went ahead and knit. It is going to be felted anyway, so I don't think it matters that much. I guess we'll see if it was a mistake or not later.

This is the yarn I am using it with, the yarn that I showed Monday. I know it sounds weird, but they look pretty good together. I can't show you a picture of the project yet, but I will soon. I have a feeling there are going to be lots of "secret" projects cropping up on the different blogs as it gets closer to Christmas. Hope you all are staying warm where you are. We finally had a really cold morning today. I love it! Posted by Picasa

The colors look so pretty together. Like a sunset.

I like the two plied together. Is it hard to knit without the twist set? I would think it would try to unwind.
