She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

I finished spinning the yarn for the socks yesterday morning, and have made good progress of the first sock. They are really going to be warm, and soft. We are about ready for our trip, just have to collect it all and put it in the living room so we can pack up in the morning and take off. I might be able to blog from Mom's house, my sister Nikki has a blogger account as well, so maybe I will be able to log on from there. I don't plan on it though, I intend to spend every minute I can just being with my family and storing it all up. I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July, and I will see you when I get back!!

Those socks are awesome! Are you doing faire isle or just stripes with a variegated yarn? Lovely! I'm stunned by their beauty!

Enjoy your trip!

The toe is knit with the orange/yellow yarn on the left, and the foot portion that I have done so far is knit with the variegated yarn in the back there. The stripes were just a nice bonus. I love how they are coming out. The blue on the left will be the heels and maybe the ribbing at the top. I am using Priscilla-Gibson Roberts Simple Socks pattern to make them, except no short row toe. I will use a short row on the heel though. Thanks Lou, I appreciate the comment.
