My current project is a seaman's scarf from Myrna Stahman's Shawls and Scarves book. I made a 4 ply yarn out of the remaining 2 ply that I made for mom's shawl. The yarn is really nice as a 4 ply. It has a lot of depth and character, is very very springy, and knits up beautifully.
Here is a close-up of the first tail so you can see the detail. This pattern calls for a seed stitch border, but I just don't like seed stitch, so I just used garter stitch. I think it looks very nice. I am still working on the ribbed middle of the scarf, and should have it finished the first part of next week. Hopefully.
