She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

I am knitting about the fifth pair of fingerless gloves I have done since it turned cold. I knit a pair for Sarah, a pair for Jody, one for me (which I gave away before I ever wore) a pair for Mom, and now, a pair for Reagan. These are done in yarn I recycled from a sweater, and then dyed. I really love the way it turned out, but there were only two small balls of this, just enough to do one mitten per ball. I'll I have to knit me another pair, later.
I can't decide what I want to knit next. The mohair diagonal scarf has been put back on the back burner. I knit 10 rows, find a mistake, then have to rip it back and reknit. It's a one step forward, two steps back kind of thing that is absolutely driving me crazy. So I'm putting it up for now, and dragging out the Fair Isle slippers. I have some ideas about what to knit after that, but no concrete plans. I really want to knit something aran, but I don't know if I'll have enough yarn for that. I guess we'll wait and see.

As to weight loss goals, I have now lost 28.6 lbs. I earned my 10% goal keychain, and I am really thrilled about it. Still have a long way to go, but I know I'll get there eventually. I am wearing clothes two sizes smaller than when I started, so I know I'm smaller, but my head still doesn't believe it. Looking at myself, I don't see many changes.

I didn't make any resolutions this year. I'm going to knit and spin as much as I can, I'm going to try to be a better all around friend and relative, and I'm going to do more charity knitting this year. I'm just doing it, though, resolutions are too easy to break.

Happy New Year, everybody.

I love those mitts. My daughter made fingerless mitts for all of us for Christmas gifts. You really need to make yourself a pair sometime. Of course, you're probably getting tired of knitting the same pattern over and over.
