She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

I haven't done any knitting on the Fair Isle socks since last Wendsday. In fact, I have done no knitting at all. Whatever the kids had the beginning of the week hit me hard, and I ended up sitting around, feeling horrible, and watching bad tv. Whee. I tried to knit, but kept messing stuff up, and gave it up for a lost cause.

Over the weekend, DH and his dad built me a porch. Now, we have lived here for almost 5 years, and I have wanted a porch a long time. I didn't get to help much. I tried, but didn't even have enough strength in my arms to push down on the drill enough to get the screw in. So I observed, fetched water and iced tea, and tried to keep the two smaller kids from getting in the way. I love the portch, it's just wonderful. We have been spending a lot of time out there, and after they get the roof on this coming weekend, it'll be even better. I spent an hour or two out there spinning last night and it was just as great as I thought it would be. The sock is on the agenda for tonight, so hopefully I will be posting new pictures tommorrow.  Posted by Picasa

I haven't been knitting much this week either. Too busy, I guess. Love the new porch. It's good to get outside.
