The Friday wrap up post

I want to begin ending the week with a post that list some of my blessing in the past week. I have really had a tough time trying to choose what to list this week, the blessing have been numerous and rich! But I'm going to give it a try.

1. The number one blessing this week is that on Monday, when I was talking to DH on the phone, he out of the blue said that we needed to start praying together before we went to bed. This is something that I have always wanted to do, since I became a Christian, but did not feel comfortable talking to DH about. Praying out loud is something I do with the kids during our day, but not something he is comfortable with. We have prayed together every night since, and it just ends the day on such a note of peace and togetherness. Truly one of my biggest blessings ever.

2. The Clean Heart Clean Home Challenge! One of the reasons I have felt so upset lately is because I felt my heart was like my house. It looked good on the surface, but once you started digging into all the hidden places, chaos reigned. This devotional has really helped both my home and heart. I'm physically exhausted, but my heart is just soaring!

3. All the little things; the garden got turned over and disced, the new bread bowl, great bread, news of positions opening up where Sean wants to work, watching the kids play in the yard, the rain (that we need so badly) last night that washed everything to a sparkling green this morning.

I have not got much fibery things done since Tuesday. I worked until 10:30 Wednesday night, and then I Gasp read a book last night, and when I finished that one, I started another! I love to read, I have been reading everything I can get my hands on since Kindergarten. Lately though, I just haven't had time to read fiction, so it has been nice after the hard work all day to curl up with a book and get lost. I can't indulge it too long, I've got other things to do, but it's been a nice couple of days.

I love to read too. I haven't been able to really read 'for fun' since last summer, with the exception of a bit around Christmas break. With school I am usually reading text books or required reading.

However, I have one exam left next week and then I am done so I can start reading for fun again...that is if I'm not knitting!

Thanks for the compliments about the dish cloths. I really like the funky pattern on the first one. I was hoping it would do that on the second one too, but sadly it didn't.

Jan I have a smile. You sound very happy and satisfied and content. How wonderful that your husband is praying with you before you go to sleep at night. I'm so so happy for you. :)
