Thank all of you for all your kind words about Dad's passing. I really appreciate how kind you have been and all the prayers. Heaven knows I need them. ----------As far as fibery stuff goes, this is what I had woven before we left for WV. I really was excited about it.

This is how much I have done now. You can see that the edges are just a little wavy, but I think it looks good for my first weaving project. This is going to be a present for my Aunt Wanda, who really took excellent care of my dad during his illness. When I have finished the weaving part, I am going to bead the fringe part, and I think it will look really nice. I love how the variations in the yarn make nice subtle stripes, and I really like the color.



Aunt Wanda might be reading the blog, I sent her a link. She does wonderful photography, and I tried all last week to talk her into starting a blog to show off her photos and poetry. We found out we have a lot in common. She crochets, we both like to take pictures, and neither of us likes to wear shoes unless we have to! We also both belong to the hugger club. I have found that I can clearly define people into one of two groups. Either you're a hugger, or you don't like people to hug you at all. Quite a few of my relations are firmly, firmly in the huggers group! I knew I got that from somewhere, haha.

Well, that's enough for today. I don't know what I am going to do this evening, probably weave. I did start a scarf while I was gone, but didn't like how it was turning out. It was more to keep my hands busy than anything else anyway. It's headed for the frog pond. I also have to dye some yarn in Oklahoma State University colors, orange and black, for a scarf for my husband. He is in the radiography program, and I am going to make him a scarf using that illusion knitting, so it will have a hidden skull on it. I thought that would be pretty cool for him, with the x-rays and all. Probably won't do that until later in the week though, as I don't feel like messing with the dyes today. Hope everyone is well, and you are having delightful fall weather like we are. I am glad of the cooler temperatures, I just wish it would rain.
