She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly with her hands. --Proverbs 31:13

Two posts in one day, I must be on a roll. I decided this afternoon to go ahead and try to warp the rigid heddle loom today. I thought it might be a quick way to work up some Christmas presents, and I have been wanting to try it for a while. So I got out my home made warping board and went to work. I can adjust the length of this thing by adjusting the length of the pvc between the uprights section. I can also add more t-joins so I can have more uprights if I want to. It makes for a very adjustable warping board, I think. Of course, it's the only one I have ever used, so what do I know.

This is the loom after I got the warp on. I thought for this beginning project, I would make a 5 inch wide woven scarf, out of the blue yarn I spun up the other day. I might weave a few rows of the blue, then a few rows of something else, or I may just decide to use the singles that I have already spun up. I haven't really decided yet. I have a lot of yarn spun up that I so far haven't been able to find a use for. I just hope that this turns out okay. I guess you'll have to wait and see.

I have never done any weaving and don't know anything about it. This is very interesting. Can't wait to see the scarf you will create.

This looks like a fun project. I can't wait to see how it progresses. By the way - the shawl is beautiful.
